Solicitan al Tribunal Supremo aplique “el bien común” a Paseo Caribe
San Juan- En el marco del momento que vive el País, entidades de la sociedad civil, organizaciones ambientales y la defensa legal de los opositores a la construcción del mega proyecto Paseo Caribe, reclaman al Gobierno y al Tribunal Supremo a proteger con justicia y equidad los asuntos y bienes públicos.
Ante las amenazas que plantea la corrupción y la complejidad del caso Paseo Caribe, las Agencias deben hacer su trabajo con eficiencia ante las serias irregularidades evidenciadas por el Tribunal del Pueblo y la opinión del Secretario de Justicia.
Por tal razón, solicitan al Departamento de Justicia que radique una petición al Tribunal Supremo para que paralice las obras de construcción del proyecto, dado que la opinión del Tribunal de Primera Instancia no es final y firme. La Administración de Reglamentos y Permisos también debe paralizar la construcción, por otorgar un permiso sin el endoso del Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, según requiere la ley y tal como concluyó última opinión del Departamento de Justicia.
Al Departamento de Justicia le corresponde culminar las investigaciones y el análisis sobre la otorgación de los permisos ambientales y del uso de terrenos. A su vez, el Departamento de Recursos Naturales tiene que finalizar el deslinde de la zona marítima terrestre con la información actualizada.
De igual forma, el Departamento de Transportación y Obras Públicas, así como el Municipio de San Juan están obligados a rescatar las servidumbres viales que le pertenecen al pueblo de Puerto Rico y que fueron obstruidas y usurpadas por la construcción del Paseo Caribe.
La confianza del pueblo sólo se puede mantener si las instituciones del Ejecutivo, el Legislativo y el Judicial adjudican las responsabilidades ante la ley, procesan a los responsables y se comprometen a rechazar la cultura de la corrupción.
Confiamos que las palabras del Juez Presidente del Tribunal Supremo sobre “el bien común” y de que “el País está por encima de nosotros como individuos”, sirvan de norte para regir las decisiones sobre Paseo Caribe, desalentar la corrupción y todos los actos de delincuencia organizada y económica.
