Goddard College President Robert Kenny presented the Doctor of Humane Letters to Jonathan Katz, a 1971 graduate who is known for his Emmy-winning voice work on the long-running animated series Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. This award is given to individuals who have distinguished themselves in areas related to the humanities and who have a strong connection to Goddard College. Katz, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1996, has been an advocate for people with disabilities and he was awarded the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Gift of Laughter Award in 2006. He is a Goodwill Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
In this video, Katz accepts the award and gives the commencement speech to the fall 2015 graduates of the MA in Psychology & Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
