About the ETC Blog

There’s a lot happening out there in the world of erosion, technology and concentration. Every day new acts of biopiracy are being committed, ground breaking new nanotechnologies are being invented, governments and corporations are bringing forth regulations or circumventing them to increase their power.

Meanwhile global social movements and civil society folks are getting busy too - resisting GM contamination, insisting on farmers’ rights, enlisting in the struggle against corporate and technological convergence, mounting campaigns and finding new platforms for marginalised voices.

ETC Blog is offered as one more experimental space for that resistance and resilience to be nurtured. A regular drip of bits and bytes of news, views and significant ideas to accompany ETC Group’s less regular publications and communiques.

We can’t promise to update ETC Blog every day, we can’t promise to respond to all discussions or comments (we are pretty busy too). We can promise to keep you more up-to-date with what we are thinking, doing or discovering; what is getting us excited, outraged and active.
