Tagzania is about tags and places. If you register and
log in, you can add places, points, to create and
document your maps. When you add a point, you may tag
it with keywords. That way, Tagzania is not only a
place to build and keep your own maps, shared
territories are created as well. While navigating in
certain mapping sites (Google Maps, MSN Virtual Earth,
Multimap...), you can click on the specific
bookmarklet and save the location you are viewing in
your Tagzania account.
For example:
Police pursuit in downtown Huntington Beach
A blogger from Huntington Beach (CA) has begun a blog posting news about events in this city, just south of Los Angeles. Here's the account of a police pursuit that ended in a downtown area. 13 police cars, 3 motorcycles and a helicopter were involved. Where exactly? Tagzania lets you mark the exact spot, as this person has done. And with the improved export/pasting options, you can customize the view of the map.
Da Vinci Code map
First the novel by Dan Brown, and now the film starring Tom Hanks. The locations of the plot, mainly in Paris and London, have spawned even proposals for tourism. Look at some fictional places here, but also actual locations of some of Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpieces.
Football World Cup in Germany
All stadiums mapped here, with the schedule of matches to be played in each one. Football or soccer fans from all over the world will be looking at Germany as the FIFA 2006 Cup is played in June. Teams from six continental zones are represented and six former title winners participate, among them Brazil as title defenders and Germany as hosts.
